• Assist in desk review research and writing.
• Identify key informant interviewees and/or focus group discussion participants.
• Support logistical planning for field work.
• Contribute to the development of a field work plan and schedule.
• Support presentations and/or meetings with USAID/Jamaica, as needed.
• Participate in all team meetings.
• Contribute written input for the final report which includes the key findings, recommendations, and overall conclusions.
• Assist in the review, revision, and finalization of the final report based on feedback received from USAID in accordance with established deadlines.
Our Ideal Candidate:
• Has a Bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years' relevant experience, or a Master's degree and at three (3) years' relevant experience, or a Doctorate/Ph.D.
• Possesses familiarity with the NGO sector in Jamaica, especially with FBOs supporting at-risk youth.
• Is based in Jamaica.
Proposed Level of Effort:
Maximum Level of Effort (LOE) will be 30 days, and the Researcher must work exclusively on the assessment during the field work phase. The Researcher will identify appropriate individuals and organizations for the team to meet with and interview during the field work phase of the assessment. Remaining LOE will be spent on writing select sections of the final report and reviewing the report.
Work Schedule:
The assessment is scheduled for December 2021 to February 2022; however, the exact dates are to be determined. If COVID-19 restrictions and safety protocols limit travel and in-person meetings, some or all of the assessment may be conducted virtually.
