EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – NGO in WEST AFRICA

As Executive Director, and reporting to the Board of Directors, your main mission is to lead, supervise and report on the management and development of the organization, in accordance with the founding values of the institution and the orientations defined by its Board of Administration.

Your Responsibilities:
propose a multi-annual, programmatic, institutional and financial strategy to the Board of Directors, and implement it,
guide the development of projects in line with this strategy, by supervising the execution by an operations department, and by reporting,
continue to develop the regional and international profile of the organization, and its presence in the region with partners, financial and operational, and public authorities,
develop an organizational culture based on general values ??(social justice, universality of human rights, secularism, democratic governance, pan-Africanism).
Your profile:

Coming from a higher academic education which exposed you to a practice of in-depth reflection and a habit of writing in social or political sciences. You are fluently bilingual in French / English, have at least 5 years of experience in similar functions, and have designed regional programs, raised the multi-year funding required for their implementation, and led teams in different countries.

Personal and practical knowledge of citizen networks in the region (in particular women, fight against corruption, migration and the media) and excellent knowledge of the challenges of development, social justice and the democratization of communication in West Africa ARE REQUIRED.
