Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity for a talented and highly motivated individual to play an instrumental role in developing and delivering a global campaign to promote leadership on zero emission vehicles in the run up to the international climate negotiations (COP26) in Glasgow in November 2021.

Clean transport is one of the key themes being promoted by the UK government as it holds the COP26 Presidency, with a focus on speeding up the transition to zero emission vehicles. In this context, the Climate Group will be working alongside partners to run a major campaign over the coming year - to inspire and promote leadership from businesses and sub-national governments, helping to drive stronger ambition from national governments.

This campaign will build on and amplify the Climate Group’s existing portfolio of transport work, especially its international corporate leadership initiative EV100 and the sub-national government platform ZEV Community as part of the Under 2 Coalition. It will be developed in close coordination with the UK COP26 Presidency and the UN High-Level Climate Champions’ team, as well as a broad range of related stakeholders and partners.
