The Government of the Republic of Angola received a loan from the World Bank (WB) and the French Agency for Development (AFD) to finance the Commercial Agriculture Development Project (CADP). The Project is budgeted at US $ 230 million and aims to increase access markets for micro, small and medium agricultural producers.

The Project intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. Aiming at strengthening the response capacity and control of the Project's main implementation activities, it is intended to hire a Junior Agribusiness and Value Chain Analysis Specialist for the project, considering the objectives presented in the Terms of Reference (TDR). The TDR must be requested in writing, by the interested candidates, through the email address below. The document in Portuguese language, will be sent by email in PDF format.
The consultancy is expected to start in September 2020 and the initial duration of the contract is for 12 months, with possibility of being extended based on a satisfactory performance evaluation. The consultant will be based in the province of Luanda, with frequent travels in the project implementation areas.

CADP invites eligible individual candidates to express their interest in providing the services, by demonstrating the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the assigned tasks. For eligible consultants to apply, they must have at least a degree, preferably in agrarian sciences, agronomy, agriculture / agribusiness, food processing, agri-food sciences, agricultural or general economics, or related fields; have at least 3 years of experience in the Angolan agricultural sector, have a good understanding of the value chain and a holistic approach to the development of commercial agriculture in general. Private sector experience would be an advantage.
