The European Institutions Office of Amnesty International is seeking an intern to assist the Executive Officers in their tasks in the field of External Relations/ Council of Europe, in particular in relation to their crisis reaction work including focus on the crackdown on human rights in Turkey and the ongoing Myanmar human rights crisis. Other areas of focus may arise. This is a 6 month, fixed term opportunity.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Foreign Policy Intern-Crisis Support you will be assisting the Executive Officers & EU Advocacy Coordinator with the representation of Amnesty International vis -vis the European Institutions (CoE and EU). You will assist in setting up meetings, note-taking and coordinating visits of colleagues from other Regional Offices of Amnesty to Brussels and other administrative tasks as required.

ABOUT YOU
A highly advanced communicator with fluency in English and proficiency in French, you will have experience in working with at least one of the European Union Institutions. You will have an educational background in political sciences, international/European law, international relations or human rights law, or equivalent work-related experience. You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team with the capability to multi-task on several files at the same time.
