Azad flags off mother & child tracking facility
New Delhi, Feb 1 (JEN):Indian Health & Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Friday inaugurated a 'Mother and Child Tracking Facilitation Center', a project to track the health of pregnant women and newborns, here.

The center would validate the data records of all the states in India maintained by the regional ‘Mother and Child Tracking Systems’ (MCTS) about the pregnant women and new born children, along with the records of ASHA and ANM health workers enrolled so far.  
 
Also present on the occasion were GVK EMRI CEO Subodh Satyawadi and Additional Secretary and Managing Director, National Rural Health Mission, Anuradha Gupta. 
 
The project is aimed at benefitting the pregnant women and newborns immensely, wherein the pregnant women’s care records and also thenewborns immunization/vaccination status are validated and feedback from the beneficiaries is documented.  
 
The beneficiaries have the opportunity to share their experiences and also suggestions for improvements if any.
 
This project is also aimed at auditing the efficiencies of the various projects/schemes initiated by the Union regarding the pregnant woman and child across the various states in the country like the JSY & JSSK etc. 
 
It provides first hand information of the implementation status and also the improvement areas.  
 
The Facilitation Center is situated in the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare campus and it has capacity of 80 technicians. 
 
 The leadership and technology is provided by GVK EMRI.
