Kabul: A Taliban attack in western Farah province of Afghanistan left at least 20 Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers killed on Sunday, media reports said.
Pushtrod district’s administrative chief Haji Ghausuddin told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants stormed two ANA check-posts in Dokan village late on Saturday night.
The terrorists reportedly captured two other soldiers.
The attackers also seized the weapons and ammunition during the attack.
Taliban spokesman Qari Yousaf Ahmadi told the Afghanistan-based news agency that the fighters had seized two ANA check-posts, killing 20 soldiers and capturing 11 others.
The fighters suffered no casualties, he told Pajhwok Afghan News.
