Kabul, Jul 15 (JEN): At least 16 ISIS and Taliban affiliated militants were killed in separate airstrikes in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, local Khaama Press reported.
The airstrikes were carried out by the Afghan security officials on Friday.
According to a statement by the provincial government, at least seven Taliban militants, including their commander Khayesta Khan were slain in Bati Kot district of the province.
In a separate airstrike in Pacher Agam district at least nine ISIS militants were killed.
Five others also sustained injuries, however no civilians or security officials were harmed.
Both the Taliban and ISIS are yet to comment on the report.
