Kabul: At least 28 insurgents have been killed in anti-terrorism drive in Afghanistan carried out by the national forces, the Ministry of Defence said.
The casualties took place with the last 24 hours, the MoD stated on Saturday.
It said that along with the deceased, 13 militants were injured.
The operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Laghman, Ghazni, Paktika, Logar, Kandahar, Farah, Takhar, Faryab, Nimroz and Helmand provinces of Afghanistan.
A number of militant vehicles and weapons were also destroyed during the drive.
