About us

Trócaire envisages a just and peaceful world where people’s dignity is ensured and rights are respected; where basic needs are met and resources are shared equitably; where people have control over their own lives and those in power act for the common good.

Over the past four decades, underpinned by a rights-based approach, Trócaire has worked alongside local and church partners to protect and respond to the basic rights of those in need; to support the empowerment of the poor and excluded; to claim their rights, and to challenge the structural issues that maintain poverty and inequality by raising awareness of injustice in Ireland and beyond.

You will demonstrate strong strategic planning and influencing skills. You will bring excellent communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across a complex stakeholder map and a strong commitment to the mission and values of Trócaire.
