US-North Korean talks possible?

Pyongyang/Seoul/Washington: The tension in the Korean Peninsula is slowly receding as relation between the North and the South is warming up, following the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

During the course of the event, both the nations held high level talks, involving Kim Jong-un's sister Kim Yo-jong.

Kim Yo-jong also became the first member from Pyongyang's ruling family to visit South Korea since the end of the 1950-53 Korean War.

According to reports, Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in have arranged a historic meeting for the month of April.

The meeting was decided after delegations from South Korea met Kim in the North Korean capital on Monday.

The meeting was carried out with an eye on starting US-North Korean dialogue, which has worsened ever since Donald Trump assumed the Oval Office.

In the meantime, the US has said that it will only resume dialogue with North Korea if Pyongyang promises to denuke.

However, condemning the US, North Korea said it was preposterous for the Trump administration to keep preconditions.

Later it was reported that the Asian regime is willing to denuclearize.

According to a statement issued by the office of South Korean President, "The North Korean side clearly stated its willingness to denuclearize."

"It made it clear that it would have no reason to keep nuclear weapons if the military threat to the North was eliminated and its security guaranteed,” the statement read.

Welcoming the step, Donald Trump told reports at the White House, "The statements coming out of South Korea and North Korea have been very positive. That would be a great thing for the world."
